What spiritual, theological and ethical implications emerge for us as Christians when we see the earth itself as being one of the poor of our world? Bearing the climate catastrophe in mind, we will plumb the depths of the pope’s characterization of the earth, through its roots in Latin American Theology of Liberation and the Theology of the People–in which this Argentine pope’s faith and leadership was nurtured. |
